God's justice is rooted in His complete and perfect nature. Unlike human concepts of fairness, divine justice encompasses setting things right at every level of existence according to God's perfect standards.
God's justice stands alongside His other attributes - holiness, goodness, love, mercy, and patience. We can only truly understand justice by understanding God's full character, as He is the ultimate measure of what is just.
When sin entered the world in the Garden of Eden, it distorted creation at every level. God's justice now has to deal with injustice in all areas - from personal relationships to universal creation. His goal is to restore wholeness according to His perfect standards.
The Bible provides clear guidance on justice through both prohibitions and positive commands:
Heaven represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's justice - when everything will be made right for everyone. While we await this perfect justice, we're called to work toward it in our current world.
